TOXIC SHOCK SYNDROME

• Client may experience sudden onset of fever, vomiting , diarrhea, drop in systolic blood pressure, and erythematous rush on palms and soles.
• Early diagnosis critical to avoid involvement with other organ systems; manage by antibiotics, fluid and electrolytes replacement, Health teachings on perineal care (esp. use of tampons).
